Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 5, 2026
DownloadMapImage.com ("DownloadMapImage", "us", "we", or "our") operates the https://downloadmapimage.com website, its web tools, and its related browser extensions and bookmarklet (together, the "Service").
This page explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have, including how to control cookies used for advertising. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy and in our Terms of Use.
In short: You can use our tools without an account. Links you paste are processed in real time and are not saved in our database. Your result history stays in your own browser. We collect basic usage data through Google Analytics, we may show ads through Google AdSense, which uses cookies, and we keep the messages you send us through our contact form. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time.
1. Definitions
- Service means the https://downloadmapimage.com website, its tools, and its related browser extensions and bookmarklet.
- Personal Data means data about an individual who can be identified from that data, alone or together with other information.
- Usage Data means data collected automatically when you use the Service, such as the pages you visit and how long you stay on them.
- Cookies are small files stored on your device (computer or mobile device) by a website.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:
- Your name and email address.
- The content of your message.
- Any images you attach (up to 3 images, max 2 MB each).
- Your IP address and the date and time of your message, which we use to prevent spam and abuse.
Links you submit to our tools
When you paste a Google Maps link, our server processes it in real time to find the images it refers to. This includes following mobile short links (maps.app.goo.gl) to their final address. We do not save the links you submit in our database. Like most websites, our hosting server may keep standard technical logs of requests for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
Temporary files
When you download a 360° panorama, the stitched image is saved on our server only so that you can download it, and it is automatically deleted about one hour later. Video download links expire after about 15 minutes.
Information stored in your browser
Your list of recent results is saved in your own browser using local storage, not on our server. You can delete it at any time with the "Clear History" button on the History page or by clearing your browser data.
Usage Data
We may automatically collect information about how the Service is accessed and used, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, referring websites, and other diagnostic data.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, tags, scripts, and similar technologies to operate the Service, analyze how it is used, and show advertising. Cookies may include an anonymous unique identifier. Examples of cookies used on the Service:
- Essential and session cookies that help the website and its security features work.
- Preference cookies that remember your settings and choices, including your consent choices.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the Service.
- Advertising cookies set by Google and other third-party vendors to serve and measure ads, as described in the next section.
- Third-party embed cookies, for example from YouTube when you watch a tutorial video embedded on our pages.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to tell you when a cookie is being sent. If you block cookies, some parts of the Service may not work as expected.
4. Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertising on the Service. Google and other third-party vendors may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers, to collect information as a result of ads being served on our website.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this website and/or other websites on the Internet.
- Other third-party vendors and ad networks that participate in Google's advertising programs may also use cookies to serve ads on our website.
You can control how ads are personalized:
- Opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info, or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
If you opt out, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your browsing. To learn more about how Google collects and uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
5. Consent for Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If you visit the Service from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using cookies or similar technologies for personalized advertising and other purposes where the law requires consent. We do this through a consent management platform certified by Google that supports the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the privacy and cookie settings link or button shown on the website. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
6. How We Use Information
DownloadMapImage uses the information described above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Respond to your messages and provide customer support.
- Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- Show advertising that keeps the Service free.
- Detect, prevent, and address spam, abuse, security issues, and technical problems.

We do not sell your Personal Data, and we do not use it to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
7. Data Retention

- Stitched 360° panoramas are deleted automatically about one hour after they are created.
- Links you submit are not stored in our database.
- Analytics and advertising data are kept by Google according to its own retention policies and the settings we choose.
8. Service Providers
We work with third-party companies that help us run the Service. They can access Personal Data only to perform tasks for us and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes. These include:
- Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

- PayPal, if you choose to make a voluntary donation. PayPal processes your payment under its own privacy policy, and we never receive your full payment card details.
When you use our tools, your browser also loads images directly from Google's servers, and our server requests data from Google Maps to process your link. Google's privacy policy applies to those requests.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed on computers located outside your state, province, or country, including in the United States, Vietnam, and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those where you live. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in line with this Privacy Policy.
10. Disclosure of Data
We may disclose your Personal Data if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request from public authorities.
- Protect and defend the rights or property of DownloadMapImage.
- Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service.
- Protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.
- Protect against legal liability.
If you send us a copyright notice, we may share it, including your contact details, with the person whose use is the subject of the notice, as explained in our Copyright and DMCA Policy.
11. Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), spam protection on our contact form, and automatic deletion of temporary files. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the Personal Data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.

We do not sell personal information for money. You can limit the sharing of data for targeted advertising through the opt-out options in Section 4 and through your browser's privacy settings, including Global Privacy Control where supported.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
13. Links to Other Sites
The Service contains links to other sites that we do not operate, such as Google Maps, browser extension stores, YouTube, and PayPal. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
14. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 18 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from Children. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we learn that we have collected Personal Data from a child without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information from our servers.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Effective date" at the top. For significant changes, we may also show a notice on the Service. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Changes are effective when they are posted on this page.
